Prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

  • Sahill Saeed, aged 5, who was kidnapped in Pakistan
  • Those affected by flooding in Kenya, Madeira, Peru, El Salvador, Tanzania, India and the Philippines.
  • Haiti
  • Chile following the earthquake.
  • Taiwan where an earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude hit about 70 km (43.5 miles) from southern Kaohsiung city
  • Malawi where earthquakes have rocked the northern parts of the country - at least 30 earthquakes have struck the country in the past month, the largest measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale
  • East Africa where 20 million people are facing life-threatening shortages of food and water, caused by severe drought. 
  • Southern Africa, Zimbabwe, Iraq, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Palestine, Sri Lanka and Israel.
  • Those whose lives are surrounded with war and violence.
  • Those who are still recovering from earthquakes, floods and fire.

National and Local

  • Our Queen and those who govern our lands. 
  • Revd Geoff Felton who is to be inducted to Plume Avenue URC on Saturday 13th March.
  • Street Pastors, those who provide help to the homeless and elderly, CYO, Richard & Katie Smith at the Abbeyfield Community Project.
  • Remember those deployed in Afghanistan – especially the families and loved ones of those who were killed this week.
    Remember those from 16th Air Assault based here in Colchester and their families following the announcement of their return to Afghanistan later this year.
